- How far outside Knysna are you?
We are just under 20Km from the centre of Knysna set at the edge of the beautiful Knysna forest
- What are the roads like?
The majority of the route from Knysna is on Tarmac road it is only about the last 3 km which is on dirt road. There are pot holes and in rain it can be a little muddy in places but you should be fine in any vehicle
- Is it secure?
We have a perimeter alarm in place around the site to warn of anyone (or animals) approaching. The house is also alarmed and linked to the local security company, Allsound Security, who have an excellent reputation.
- When is the best time of year to visit?
We have a very temperate climate in Rheenendal. The most popular time with local visitors is December & January as Knysna is a popular resort during the summer holidays but the area does get very busy. Weather is at it’s hottest Jan – March when the sun is almost guaranteed and it is hot. Winter, July – Sept, is fairly dry but can be cool and evenings cold. The rest of the year can have beautiful clear warm days, with blue, blue sky and lovely sun but there is the occasional thunderstorm. The good news is that the clouds never stay for long and the beaches are almost empty…
